ADULT ENGLISH
Adults returning to school who are reluctant to register for Language Arts 11 or 12 have the option of taking Adult English. This course is designed to assist adults to develop language and writing skills equivalent to English 10 which will prepare them for senior-level english courses. LEC offers Adult English as a semestered class and as an on-site dl course.

ADULT MATH
IAdults returning to school who are not ready to take a senior level math course have the option of taking Adult Math. This course is designed to develop computation and problem solving skills equivalent to Math 10 Essentials. Other options for adults include: Essentials of Math 11, Principles of Math 10, and Math Bridge. Adult Math is available as a 9-week class (EMA10) and as an on-site dl course called EMA10 or EMA 11.

BIOLOGY 11 (4 credits)
In Biology 11 students will learn about diversity, ecology, biochemistry
and evolution of plants, animals and microbes. Practical work will
include the use of the microscope and dissections.

BIOLOGY 12 (4 credits)
Biology 12 focuses on human biology, allowing students to develop
an interest in and an understanding of science by seeing how the
diverse body systems are integrated to maintain homeostasis. The
order of learning outcomes follows a sequence from cell structure
and simple biochemical processes to the organ systems themselves.

BIOLOGY 12 ONLINE (4 credits)
Biology 12 online concentrates on cellular processes and human biology. It is a challenging, fast-paced course containing a great deal of interesting and exciting information designed to prepare students for the standards and content of university-level Biology and Biochemistry. The online course is hosted entirely on the Internet, so can be easily accessed from anywhere. Students will design a schedule to maintain a good pace and successful completion. There are great animations and videos to help with the learning process.

CAPP 11/12 (2 credits each)
Career and Personal Planning 11/12 focuses on creating and implementing
plans to meet personal, educational and career goals. Students can
register for CAPP 11/12 (4 credits) or CAPP 12 (2 credits) if CAPP
11 was completed in another school. CAPP 11/12 includes: the development
of a Grad Plan, career development, personal development
and 30 hours of work experience.

CAPP 11/12 ONLINE (2 credits each)
Career and Personal Planning 11/12 online is designed to
help students develop goal setting and planning skills. The aim
is to enable students to become thoughtful, caring individuals who
plan and reflect, make informed choices, and take responsibility
for their own personal and career development. There are four main
sections of the course: personal planning, personal development,
career development, work experience.

CAPPA 12 (4 credits)
CAPPA 12 is a 4 credit course for adult students on the BC Adult Graduation Program. It focuses on creating and implementing plans to meet personal, educational and career goals.
