FRENCH 11 (4 credits)
French 11 continues and expands all sections of work learned in
French 10. More oral comprehension exercises are added, as are irregular
verbs, imperfect vs. perfect vs. pluperfect, conditional tenses, pronouns,
composition, grammatical structures and résumé writing.

FRENCH 12 (4 credits)
French 12 builds on and expands concepts from French 11. Oral comprehension,
spoken French, and literature are an integral part of this course.
The use of the subjunctive mood, the active and passive voices,
as well as the simple past and future tenses will be introduced.

GEOGRAPHY 12 (4 credits)
Geography is the study of patterns in the earth, in nature and in human settlement. Students will be introduced to the studies of the earth’s surface and tectonic processes, gradational processes, weather and climate, the biosphere, energy, managing the environment and topographic mapping. Throughout this course, students will gain insight into the changing nature of the world around us and learn to be conscientious, responsible global citizens. This section of Geography 12 is unique in that students will attend one class a week at LEC and complete the rest of the weekly work online from home. Therefore, good organizational skills, access to a computer with access to the internet, and a solid familiarity with using computers are essential. The provincial exam in this course (if written) counts for 40% of the final mark.

GRADUATION TRANSITIONS (4 credits)
The Graduation Transitions course is a requirement for students on the 2004 Graduation Program. It covers topics in the following areas: Personal Health, Community Involvement and Career & Life. This course promotes healthy living, volunteer work experience and planning for the post secondary years of a student’s life. Students who successfully complete Graduation Transitions will receive an “RM” (requirement met) on their transcript.

HISTORY 12 (4 credits)
Students in History 12 learn modern world history from 1919 to 1991. Special emphasis is placed on the rise of totalitarianism, World War II, the Cold War, decolonization and the rise of the "Third World".

LAW 12 (4 credits)
This course is designed to introduce students to the structure and
processes used to make, administer and enforce laws in Canada and
to resolve legal issues and problems. Topics include: criminal,
civil and family law. The course provides a broad grounding in the
foundations of Canada's legal system, with a close look at the impact
the Charter of Rights and Freedoms has had on Canadian law.

MARKETING 12 (4 credits)
Marketing 12 is a comprehensive study of marketing techniques and activities. It provides students with opportunities to develop marketing strategies and skills in order to present a product, a service, or an idea in a business environment. Some topics include: advertising, introduction of new products and services, and product enhancement.
