| ASSESSMENT |
- A basic skills assessment is provided to prospective PASS
students, prior to acceptance into the program (time required:
60 to 80 minutes)
- On-going assessment is provided in the PASS Program via
the computer-managed learning program.
- Adults entering the Adult Basic Education program are
assessed at their first or second class to determine placement
- Students registering in Grade 11 and 12 courses must provide
a transcript or a copy of their PR card

| ORIENTATION |
- New students are encouraged to sign up for an orientation
session
- Small group orientation sessions provide important information
about our school's programs, as well as a chance to ask
questions specific to your needs

| COUNSELLING |
- A counsellor is available, days and evenings, for academic
and career guidance
|
| CHILD-MINDING |
- Childcare is provided for the babies and children under
3 years of age of young LEC students at our Langley (Sundel)
location
- For our young parents, we also provide the following supports:
- Peer support
- Life-skills workshops, includes topics: safety in the
workplace, job interview skills
- Field trips and social events
- Weekly parenting group

| WORK EXPERIENCE |
- A work experience option is available for motivated students
under 19 years of age
- Teacher-assisted opportunity to obtain the Ministry of
Education requirement of 30 hours of work experience
- The opportunity to explore a career of interest can assist
you in planning your post-secondary goals
- Includes topics such as safety in the workplace and job
interview skills
